Misleading - The journalist who made the decision: Eleni Kritsalou
The article refers to tips to save energy given by DEPA Commercial to households. It is mentioned that a household, by unplugging electrical household appliances, lowering the thermostat of the radiator when no one is at home, changing the use of hot water, the way of cooking as well as the operation of the washing machine, can save up to 350 euros per year. And then it continues by listing and explaining what we can do in our daily life to save energy, as mentioned by the company. A quick search in DEPA Commercial's website shows that the company has indeed published a guide with the smart energy tips that the article is referring to (see https://smartenergytips.depa.gr/energy-tips.html). What's not possible to verify is the sum of the 350 euros per year, which we can not understand how it is calculated and if it is guaranteed that by following all these tips all consumers will have savings up to this amount. Thus, the amount given seems to be rather arbitrary.
